Dr. Raed Sherif oversees the sales, marketing and commercial activities at eSolar in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia-Pacific regions. Prior to joining eSolar, Dr. Sherif was at Spectrolab, a Boeing subsidiary, where he led the development and commercialization of the Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) technology for 9 years. Dr. Sherif served as the General Manager for the CPV product line before he left Spectrolab. Previously, Dr. Sherif served as the program manager for the High Performance PV program sponsored by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and was part of the Spectrolab-NREL team that received the 2007 R&D 100 Award for the solar concentrator that achieved over 40% efficiency. Before joining Spectrolab, Dr. Sherif was a senior engineer at IBM Microelectronics in East Fishkill, NY. Dr. Sherif has 30 issued patents in the fields of microelectronics packaging and photovoltaics. He obtained his PhD and MSME from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his B.Sc. with Honors from Alexandria University in Egypt.
